NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Whoopi Goldberg refuted Joe Rogan's recent claims made on his podcast that 'The View' once gave Donald Trump a "warm and fuzzy" welcome.

During a recent episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience', Rogan talked to his guest Donald Trump, and discussed the GOP nominee's past appearance on 'The View, ending up stating facts wrongly, per The Express Tribune.

Whoopi Goldberg fact-checks Joe Rogan's claim Donald Trump got a warm welcome on 'The View'

During a recent episode of 'The View', co-host Whoopi Goldberg pointed out several claims made by Joe Rogan on his podcast that were incorrect. Rogan claimed that Donald Trump appeared on 'The View' around 2015-2016 but Goldberg said that the episode in question was from 2011.

“It was 2011, four years before he announced he was running. That’s the first thing they got wrong," said Goldberg.

She then played that part of the 'JRE' podcast where Rogan told Trump he was welcomed on the show with "hugs and kisses" from Goldberg. She went on to play the real footage from 2011 and said, "Did I look warm and fuzzy? Was that a warm and fuzzy welcome for him?"

She added that out of respect for co-host Barbara Walters, she remained polite, even though she disagreed with Trump’s views, mainly regarding his focus on former president Barack Obama's birth certificate.

Goldberg revisited the 2011 clip where she called Trump’s remarks on Obama's birthplace "the biggest pile of dog mess I’ve heard in ages". She also challenged Trump directly at the time and said, "I’ve never heard of any White president being asked to show a birth certificate. That’s BS."

Whoopi Goldberg doesn't like how Donald Trump 'talks to the nation'

Whoopi Goldberg further said about Donald Trump, "This show has allowed all kinds of people to come on. People we agree with, people we don't agree with. I've not been a fan of this man. I don't like how he talks to us. I don't like how he talks to the nation."

"I [did] not really have much to say until he started running for president. [But] then [in 2011]…my face said everything I needed to say.”

Goldberg also defended her comedy background in response to Trump's recent remarks calling 'The View' hosts "really dumb people" at a campaign rally. She recalled that Trump had hired her several times to perform at his casino.

She said, "I was filthy, and stand on that fact. You didn’t know what you were getting? How dumb are you?"
