Trump claims he was shot because God wanted him to win election, Internet says 'perhaps it was a warning'
POWDER SPRINGS, GEORGIA: Donald Trump bizarrely claimed that he was shot because God wanted him to win the presidential election during a campaign event in Powder Springs, Georgia, on Monday, October 28, as per Independent.
The former president, who faced two assassination attempts in the last four months, has frequently attributed his survival to an intervention by God, calling it a "miracle."
“God has to have done this because it's impossible.”

Donald Trump claims he was shot because God wants him to help the world
Speaking to the National Faith Advisory Board at the Inaugural National Faith Summit, Donald Trump said, "I would like to think it’s because he [God] wants our country and maybe the world to be helped. Now we have to win the election."
The former president made similar remarks during an event in Concord, North Carolina, billed as an "11th-Hour Faith Leaders Meeting," on October 21, according to The Guardian.
At the event, the GOP presidential nominee said, "My faith took on new meaning on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, where I was knocked to the ground, essentially by what seemed like a supernatural hand."
He added, "And I would like to think that God saved me for a purpose, and that’s to make our country greater than ever before."
The MAGA spearhead went on to urge Christians to vote, saying, "You have a reputation for not voting proportionately. Christians, evangelicals … but Christians and gun owners don’t vote."
He also reiterated his vow to roll back the Johnson Amendment, which prohibits non-profit organizations, including churches, from endorsing or opposing political candidates.
Donald Trump wants God to come down and be the vote counter for California
During a rally in Greenville, North Carolina, Donald Trump suggested that if God could serve as a "vote counter" for one day, he might win California, as reported by the Independent.
He told the crowd, "I was in California. We have some of the biggest crowds you’ve ever seen. I’d love to have God to come down and be the vote counter just for one day and see how well we do in California."
While waving his arms in the air, the former president claimed that "they," without specifying who, "send millions and millions of ballots out there. They don’t know what’s happening. And no matter what happens, they’ll say 'Well, California’s not available.'"
During his interview with Dr Phil in August, Trump said, "If Jesus came down and was the vote counter, I would win California. In other words, if we had an honest vote counter... I would win California."
Internet trolls Donald Trump for claiming he was shot because God wanted him to win election
Netizens were quick to mock Donald Trump over his bizarre claim.
One joked, "Honest! God spoke to him through a piece of toast when in the hospital," and another said, "That's so sleazy."
"He and Harris are both invoking God as if to pretend He cares which of them wins. Neither will do any good for the country or the world," remarked a person, while someone else joked, "IJBOL! Perhaps it was a warning from God?"
One more wrote, "Even more bizarre — his minions believe it."
