Swifites criticized JD Vance over comments he made in a resurfaced 2021 interview, where he asserted that the US government was influenced by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too."

During his appearance on Fox News' 'Tucker Carlson Tonight', Vance, who was then a candidate for the Ohio Senate seat, said, "It's just a basic fact — you look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC — the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children. And how does it make any sense that we've turned our country over to people who don't really have a direct stake in it?"

Slayer's guitarist, Gary Holt, lauded Taylor Swift's songwriting abilities during his appearance on the 'Scandalous Podcast'.

He said, "I love Taylor Swift. Why all the hate? She's an extraordinarily hard worker. She's super f*****g nice to everybody, and people hate her. She's just the biggest pop star on Earth and more power to her."

Holt further emphasized, "She's a songwriter. And some of these other people, they require massive teams of… It’s just like a factory of songwriting. Who even knows who did what anymore when there’s like 20 names on it?"

Turning his attention to Beyonce, the thrash metal musician remarked, "Beyonce will put out a song, and there’s 30 f*****g people on it. How can 30 people write a song, all gathered together? Like you’re not a songwriter, Beyonce."

"I think Beyonce is the most overrated talent on Earth. I think she’s marginally talented," said Holt, taking a dig at the 32-time Grammy winner.

During her Eras Tour show in Hamburg, Germany on Wednesday, July 24, which marked the fourth anniversary of 'Folklore', Taylor Swift reflected on the unique challenges she faced while creating the album.

She mentioned, "You usually get to play all these new songs for your friends or your band, and you get to be in the same room with the people that you’re either writing with or producing with. I would sit in my guest bedroom and record the vocals and [Dessner and Antonoff] would be on the phone. It was just like such a challenge for us as creators, but it was so fulfilling."

The pop star also discussed the difficulties of styling and photographing 'Folklore' without a glam squad.
