LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Billboard podcast hosts are stirring up chatter about whether Taylor Swift might possibly be the last queen of million-selling albums. The buzz follows the groundbreaking success of Swift's latest album, 'The Tortured Poems Department'.

But that's not the only surprise Swifties have been treated to lately. A prestigious college in Glasgow has announced plans to offer a masterclass on the singer, just in time for her upcoming Eras tour in the Scottish city. The class aims to educate non-Swifties about her tour, songs, and fan chants.

Will Taylor Swift be the last artist to have million-selling albums?

Billboard reports that Swift's newest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department' (TTPD), is causing quite a stir in the music scene, and fans are loving it.

During a recent episode of the Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, hosts Katie and Keith couldn't contain their amazement at 'TTPD's accomplishments. The album racked up an impressive 2.61 million equivalent album units in its debut week, ending on April 25.

Of that total, a whopping 1.914 million units came from traditional album sales, making it one of the most talked-about debuts in music history.

The podcast hosts couldn't help but wonder if Swift might be the last artist to achieve such monumental sales figures, especially as the music industry continues to shift toward streaming platforms.

Billboard's analysis reveals that, since 2010, there have been a total of 11 weeks with million-selling albums, with seven of those weeks belonging to Swift. Adele's '25' claimed three of those weeks, while Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' debut week rounds out the list.

This raises the question of whether Swift's repeated success in this arena is a feat that only she can accomplish.

Reacting to the discussion, a user wrote, "She is last of the stars🙌🔥🔥🔥."

Another said, "Tbh she will be the last. i dont see anyone doing 1 million first week. not the legacy acts nor the newer acts."

A user commented, "I’m sure another will come eventually, but it won’t be anytime soon and they won’t be able to easily do it like Taylor. They’ll require some level of controversy or sympathy. But it’s certainly not impossible."
