Outrage as JD Vance's clip on imposing federal restrictions on women traveling for abortion resurfaces
WASHINGTON, DC: A resurfaced clip from a 2022 interview with JD Vance has been making rounds on the internet in which the Republican Vice Presidential candidate said that there should be a "federal response" to prevent women from traveling out of state for abortion care.
Notably, former president Donald Trump picked the Ohio Senator as his running mate on July 15, making him the first millennial to join a major-party ticket.
JD Vance suggested imposing federal restrictions on women traveling for abortion
In January 2022, JD Vance appeared on Aimee Terese’s 'What’s Left' podcast and said, "Let’s say Roe v Wade is overruled, Ohio bans abortion, you know, in 2022, let’s say 2024, and then every day George Soros sends a 747 to Columbus to load up disproportionately Black women to get them to go have abortions in California. Of course, the left will celebrate this as a victory for diversity … that’s kind of creepy, right?"
He further added, "If that happens, do you need some federal response to prevent it from happening because it’s really creepy? And, you know, I’m pretty sympathetic to that, actually."

Moreover, in another podcast from January 2022, Vance said that he certainly would like abortion to be illegal nationally to prevent women from traveling across states to obtain an abortion.
However, on July 15, Vance agreed with Trump that abortion was a state matter, even if in reality this implies that it may be completely legalized in some states and banned in others, according to CNN.
He told to Fox News' Sean Hannity, "My view is that Donald Trump is the leader of the Republican Party, and his views on abortion are going to be the views that dominate this party and drive this party forward,"

That is a massive problem for a party that is based upon lies and deception," while another added, "Heaven forbid that they make a law that there shouldn't be background checks to buy any type of weapon, but let a pregnant woman wants/needs an abortion."
One individual asked, "If they really cared about kids, after they're born, why do they cut programs that help kids get food and an education?" whereas one wrote, "I'm certain Vance won't make it through August before Trump "fires" him, but he may not make it out of July."
Another person added, "I really hope that the Republican voters like myself will vote out these RINO MAGA folks out of our party."
