Marjorie Taylor Greene trolled for saying Trump bravely showed up for historic presidential immunity case

WASHINGTON, DC: According to a recent report by Reuters, amid the election subversion case, on Tuesday, Donald Trump looked on as his legal team sought to convince a panel of three judges that former presidents “should not be prosecuted for actions they took in office.”

Before this, Republican congresswoman and Trump supporter Marjorie Taylor Greene took to social media as she praised the former President for “voluntarily coming in” to listen to oral arguments in his “extremely important and historic case.”

In these remarks, Greene also compared Trump to Ray Epps, who according to the Wall Street Journal, was a  target of Jan 6 Conspiracy Theorists, and has been sentenced to probation.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, “Today, Pres Trump is voluntarily coming in to listen to oral arguments in his extremely important and historic case to protect presidential immunity, something Joe Biden should care about.”

She added, “But unlike every other J6 defendant, Ray Epps doesn’t have to come in for his sentencing??”

On her other account on X, Greene also wrote, “Ray Epps told people to go in the Capital on J6 but the coward gets special treatment and protection by the DOJ allowing him to phone into his sentencing hearing.”

“Pres Trump loves our country so much he bravely voluntarily shows up for his historic presidential immunity case!” wrote Greene as she doubled down on her praise for former President Donald Trump.

Marjorie Taylor Greene faces backlash on X

After Marjorie Taylor Greene praised Donald Trump for physically being present at the hearing about “protecting presidential immunity” in the election subversion case, the internet’s response to Greene was prompt.

One user wrote, “If showing up and sitting in the gallery listening to an appellate argument is an act of "bravery," then I'm Galileo," and another simply wrote, "Hahahahahahahahahahajah."

"I gagged. Bravely?!?! Hahahaha," expressed one user, and another wrote, "Yes, very brave to show up to an appellate hearing to listen."

People continued to mock Greene online as one user wrote, "You lost me at 'bravely'" and another wrote, "You need to be stopped."
