Marjorie Taylor Greene's remarks on how 'it's not too late to save America' backfires online

ROME, GEORGIA: Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a message on X, formerly known as Twitter, as the year drew to an end, and has urged people to not lose “hope.”

On the social media platform, Greene shared her remarks against the federal government before she admitted that it’s “not too late to save” the country.

As the congresswoman talked more about America’s “ability to thrive,” people online had a lot to say about the same, as over 3000 responses poured in, and Greene faced severe mockery and ridicule on X.

On X, the Georgian congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, “America is an incredible country filled with wonderful people and tremendous opportunity but the federal government’s rules, regulations, and policies are destroying and stifling America’s ability to thrive from within.”

She added, “The poor are getting poorer, and the middle class is shrinking as the rich get richer. Don’t lose hope, it’s not too late to save America.”

A similar message was also seen in Greene’s New Year’s wish to her followers on the social media platform.

She wrote, “Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year in 2024! I’m all in!”

“We have a country to save!!” wrote the congresswoman, doubling down on the remarks to “save” the country.

Marjorie Taylor Greene faces backlash on X

After Marjorie Taylor Greene shared her thoughts going into the new year, with a focus on “saving” the country, the internet’s response was prompt, as several poured in on X.

One user wrote, “Let’s just tweet about it and puff out our chest!  Very helpful. You have failed us,” and another wrote, “You’re an active part of the problem.”

“Trump made the rich richer. Own it Marjorie,” expressed one user, and another wrote, “You're right, let's get you removed. That's the first step to saving America!”

Greene continued to face backlash on the social media platform as one user questioned the congresswoman and wrote, “As an elected official, do you feel any responsibility to lead toward a solution, or are empty platitudes the extent of your commitment?” and another questioned, “And what are you DOING about it?”
