WASHINGTON, DC: Joe Biden's campaign refuted a report on Saturday, June 29, that he "is expected to discuss the future of his reelection campaign with family at Camp David on Sunday", according to Raw Story.

There have been calls for Biden to withdraw from the election following his dismal performance at the presidential debate with Donald Trump hosted by CNN. According to Raw Story, he was allegedly "meeting with his campaign co-chair in the Hamptons" as concerns over his mental health and age mount.

"He and first lady Jill Biden are scheduled to join their children and grandchildren" for the prearranged meeting, as reported by NBC News.

According to some sources cited in the report, Biden will only discuss this topic with his family. One person familiar with the dynamics said Biden will ultimately listen to only one adviser.

As per NBC, the source said, "The only person who has ultimate influence with him is the first lady. If she decides there should be a change of course, there will be a change of course."

According to reports, another unidentified person remarked, "The decision-makers are two people — it’s the president and his wife. Anyone who doesn’t understand how deeply personal and familial this decision will be isn’t knowledgeable about the situation."

After publication of this report, a source reached out to stress that the Camp David gathering was not a formal family meeting.

"Any discussion about the campaign is expected to be informal or an afterthought," the source said. "No one is sitting down for a formal or determinative discussion."

Nevertheless, the Biden campaign discredited the allegation on social media. Biden-Harris HQ wrote on X, "Yeah, no. This was announced a week ago. Joe Biden is and will be the Democratic nominee."

Several social media users trolled Joe Biden as his campaign refuted a report that he is expected to discuss the future of his re-election campaign with family at Camp David on Sunday.

A user wrote on X, "They can’t help but lie."

Another added, "Trump is winning 40 states though."



 



 

A person also stated, "Obvi. It’s not like a cold that suddenly manifests in the middle of a debate."

Another mentioned, "More Likely he will be stepping down soon."



 



 

One person remarked, "Either it's really the purpose of the meeting, the discussion, but when it leaked, they decided to deny it and deal with more immediate concerns."

Another added, "The trolls have come out tonight. Is it a full moon or something."
