On X, Benny Johnson wrote, “CNN forced to read their own polls on-air showing Trump eclipsing Joe Biden:”

The conservative host then quoted the CNN anchor, "The news is not great for President Biden.”

In the clip shared by Johnson, Kasie Hunt reported, “5 am here in Washington, where we have new CNN poll numbers this morning in two critical battleground states.”

Hunt let out a little sigh and continued, “The news is not great for President Biden and his campaign. The numbers show Donald Trump leading in both Georgia and Michigan.”

“In Georgia, a state carried by Biden with a very narrow margin in 2020, registered voters say they prefer Trump over Biden by 5%,” said Hunt as she continued, “In Michigan, which Trump won in 2016, but Biden carried in 2020, our poll is now showing Trump 10 points up.”

Hunt also added in her report that Trump’s margin over Biden has “significantly boosted” in both states by people who said they “did not vote in 2020.”
