LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rob Lowe turned 60 on Sunday, March 17 and, his fans can’t believe it as they poured their love for him on social media. Many fans even said that the 'West Wing' star is aging in reverse.
The actor marked the occasion on his Instagram and X accounts with a high-speed, 30-second montage featuring his throwback pictures. 'Glory Days' by Bruce Springsteen was used by Lowe to play along the video.
Rob Lowe turns 60
Lowe, who has never been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive, posted a reel on his Instagram and X account, which he captioned as, "this is #60".
Lowe first cemented his hearthhrob status in proto 'Brat Pack' movies 'Class' and 'The Outsiders.'
These 1983 films catapulted him to success, but Lowe's best performance as a pack member was in the 1985 film 'St. Elmo's Fire', where he played Billy, the bad boy turned good, in a cinematic shift.
He was nominated for a 2001 Primetime Emmy for his role as Sam Seaborn in 'The West Wing.' He went on to play the consistently upbeat Chris Traeger on 'Parks & Recreation' from 2010 to 2015.
Earlier this week, the actor, also a filmmaker and podcast host, expressed his enthusiasm as he eagerly stepped into a new decade with confidence.
Lowe expressed that he has "never felt better" about approaching his golden years. He said. "Luckily, I've had some time as the run-up, I love the milestone birthdays, because it really is an opportunity to reflect and to think about where you want to go."
Lowe expressed his gratitude saying, "I'm so humbled and grateful that I have never had more things that are interesting to me going on in my life. Never felt better. My relationships and every level, I'm in the pocket and this is exactly the way I want to go into my next decade."
